There is so much of our culture that confirms that period pain is normal and it is not. There seems to be a huge knowledge gap. Having access to the Endometriosis Network sooner would have helped find the right doctors or support groups. Being tested by an endocrinologist prior to the prescription of hormonal drugs should be required, where hormones regulate so much of our systems. Access to hysterectomy and doctors who are specialized in endo excision is also important.
