Dr. Lisa Allen, MD FRCSC, is currently the Head of the Section of Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology at the Hospital for Sick Children. She completed her fellowship at the Women’s College Hospital, which was directed to developing surgical skills in pelvic floor surgery, laparoscopic urogynaecologic surgery, and laser endometriosis surgery. Dr. Allen brings to EndoAct, her expertise of adolescent gynaecology and how endometriosis onsets in that age group. She was a coauthor for the Canadian Consensus Guidelines on Endometriosis, published in 2010, that was written to improve the understanding of endometriosis and provide evidence-based guidelines for the diagnosis and management of it. She continually contributes to endometriosis related research and advocates for improving adolescent care.
