Maria Jose Arauz, MSPH, is a program evaluator, public health professional and a feminist. She holds 10 years of experience in program evaluation and evaluative research and has collaborated with government organizations, universities, and local and international NGOs. She works in the public health sector managing evaluation projects and providing evidence-based expertise to inform decision makers in order to improve health prevention interventions. She is the vice-president of the board of directors of the professional evaluators’ association of Quebec (SQEP) and was part of the 2019-2020 cohort of the Groupe des Trente ambassadors to promote ethno-cultural diversity in decision making. Maria has had to suffer years from excruciating pelvic pain due to endometriosis, much more than the pain she went through breast cancer treatments. This is not OK, and this is why Maria decided to join EndoAct to drive systemic solutions so that women with endometriosis can get better care and improve their quality of life.
