Ruby Stickney (she/they) is a queer activist and advocate from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has been living with an endometriosis diagnosis since 2013, and has since undergone three additional surgeries (including total hysterectomy at age 30) and numerous alternative treatments. Through their work as a member of EndoAct Canada, they hope to see changes to the gendered and heteronormative narratives surrounding endometriosis and an overall improved patient experience for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks accessing endometriosis care. She also wishes to highlight the many challenging symptoms beyond pelvic pain and infertility, including those involving mental health, that so many people living with this condition face daily. Ruby has been a member of the Saskatchewan Pelvic Pain & Endometriosis community for several years and is looking forward to seeing more efficient diagnosis and fewer barriers to care in her home province
