Dr. Sony Singh, MD, FRCSC, FACOG, is a gynecologic surgeon who has focused his clinical and academic career around caring for those affected by endometriosis. After his Ob/Gyn residency training at Western University, he completed two additional fellowships in minimally invasive gynecology at the University of Toronto and University of Sydney in Australia.  He is now a Professor at the University of Ottawa and has a full time clinical practice at The Ottawa Hospital. As the lead for the Ottawa Minimally Invasive Gynecology Research Group, Dr. Singh has been involved in several international clinical trials while also developing novel approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis.   He has published over 100 peer reviewed scientific articles and presented over 400 academic and educational presentations worldwide. Over the past 15 years Dr. Singh has been advocating for better access and care for those with endometriosis and pelvic pain. Locally, he has helped build a team of experts in imaging, surgery and pain to provide care for complex care. Nationally and internationally Dr. Singh has been involved with raising awareness about the disease including advocating for excellence in imaging and surgical approaches.
